Albert Chen works with clients in diverse technical fields, including mechanical and biomedical engineering, and software. Although Albert’s primary focus lies in patent prosecution, he has experience in conducting freedom to operate and patentability investigations.
He was a Distinguished Scholar at Seton Hall Law School, where he earned a full tuition scholarship. Albert demonstrated his passion for intellectual property while serving as the President of the Intellectual Property Law Association. He has a keen interest in international aspects of intellectual property law that helps him understand a diverse environment of ideas. Albert was the Vice President of the Asian-Pacific Law Student Association.
Albert actively participated in the Investor Advocacy Project, Department of New Jersey Settlement Conference Practicum, and Southern District of New York Mediation Practicum, where he made federal court appearances representing indigent clients in settlement conferences and mediations. These pro bono activities have given him an insight unique for a recent law school graduate.
Albert is fluent in Cantonese and has a functional knowledge of Mandarin.
