Lerner David is proud to announce that one of our own, Alyssa D'Antonio, is being honored with the 2020 Young Leader Award by the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. Alyssa’s involvement with the Brown family and paralysis community spans three generations. Her grandfather Arthur was there from the beginning. He was a longtime friend of Fran and Benjy Brown, who established The Alan T Brown Foundation when their son Alan became paralyzed in 1988. Most recently, ATBF recently joined forces with The Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation. As a teen, Alyssa would volunteer at ATBF events accompanying her father Paul, who is an active and valued supporter of the Foundation.
Alyssa spent a few summers interning at the Alan T Brown Foundation and serving on the Young Professionals Committee. She gained a wealth of knowledge and skills that she utilized in her future achievements at Northeastern University where she simultaneously earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering. After graduating from Northeastern, Alyssa studied at St. John’s University School of Law. Alyssa looks forward to continuing her involvement with the Foundation as her experiences and family influence have greatly impacted her interest in raising awareness and advocating for others in the paralysis community.
